Enhanced Authentication Method Streamlines AccountChek® Payroll Connectivity

In recent months, an increasing number of payroll providers have updated their consumer login experiences to leverage mobile devices for authentication.  This approach adds security and simplifies the user experience by establishing a direct session between the known device and the payroll provider without sharing credentials.  In response to this change, AccountChek is introducing TrueAuth for payroll connections beginning Oct 13. For lenders who use AccountChek for verification of income and employment (VOIE), here’s what’s changing—and what’s remaining the same—for your borrower:

What’s the Same:
The borrower receives a digital invitation to complete a VOIE using AccountChek, initiates the connection, and selects their employer or payroll provider.

What’s New:
If the payroll provider selected supports TrueAuth, the borrower is invited to scan a QR code with their mobile device:

If the borrower can’t scan the QR code or chooses not to use the TrueAuth process, they can still enter their login credentials manually.

Why it Matters:
Payroll providers covering the majority of the US workforce—including ADP, Paychex, Gusto, Workday, Intuit and UKG among others—support TrueAuth connectivity.  As borrowers engage in this new process, successful payroll connections via AccountChek, and resulting order completions, should improve materially.
