Informative Research Expands AccountChek® to Support Income and Employment Validation with Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter®

Lenders using Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter® can now validate income and employment using AccountChek® in addition to assets, all through a single 12-month asset verification report. By leveraging direct deposit banking data, lenders can satisfy multiple verification requirements within DU®, helping reduce redundant orders, streamline underwriting workflows, and improve the borrower experience.

Once a borrower authorizes access through AccountChek®, verified asset, income, and employment data flows directly into DU as part of the loan submission. This enables lenders to pursue programs such as Day 1 Certainty® while reducing documentation needs and operational costs. Using a single source of verified data may also help lenders support cash flow analysis, rent payment identification, and expanded eligibility assessments, increasing efficiency without adding complexity to the process.
