Equifax® said in a press release published October 8 that it will hold its VantageScore® 4.0 mortgage credit score at $1 through the end of 2028, extending a pricing commitment that previously ran through 2027. The company also announced Equifax Mortgage Score Select™, a new option that lets lenders and brokers pull an Equifax mortgage credit file with the score of their choice, VantageScore 4.0, Classic FICO®, or FICO® Score 10T once approved, or with no score at all.
At Informative Research, we work with multiple credit bureaus and score models every day, and this is part of a broader shift toward lenders choosing both the score and the bureau mix that fits each file. Whatever combination a lender settles on, IR can help deliver it without disrupting an existing workflow, and our team is ready to walk clients through the options now.
